FIRESIDE CONVERSATIONS FOR WOMEN IN MIDLIFE
The Conversations We Don’t Have Anywhere Else
Last summer, I found myself sprinting barefoot across the lawn – braless, swearing, and in full mama-bear mode to rescue my puppy from the neighbor’s renegade dog – only to realize I had an audience of neighbors. Later, laughing with a friend, I described the moment as “braless and lawless,” and it stuck.
That moment sparked this program, because midlife isn’t about holding it together. It’s about breaking loose, shedding what no longer serves you, and reclaiming your health, your voice, and your fire.
Braless & Lawless is a monthly fireside conversation for women. Many of our topics center on midlife, menopause, and the realities of aging in a female body, but the conversations are open to women of all ages. If you’re in the thick of it, come join us. If menopause feels a long way off but you’d rather learn about it before it arrives, pull up a chair. And if you’ve already earned your stripes and have wisdom to share, we’d love to have you too.
Once a month, I sit down on Zoom with a guest – a doctor, a movement specialist, an intuitive healer, an astrologer, a woman who knows something we should all know – and we talk. Hormones one month, aging parents the next, energy and movement the month after that. Some sessions are serious. Some are pretty fun. All of them are the kind of conversation you wish you could have with friends who happen to be experts.
It’s free. It’s unfiltered. There’s space for some conversation and questions at the end. And it’s the closest thing I’ve found to those slumber parties we grew up with – only now the talk is about hormones instead of 80s playlists.
How These Conversations Work
- Once a month, on Zoom 60 minutes. Free. No commitment. Drop in for the topics that pull you.
- A guest worth your time Each session features one expert – a doctor, a movement specialist, a medical intuitive, an astrologer, a woman who knows something we all should know.
- A real range of topics Some serious (hormone health, aging parents, grief), some practical (movement, sleep, skin care), some lighter (astrology, energy, beauty on your own terms).
- Room to talk back After the conversation, there’s space for some questions and exchange. Not every voice has to weigh in, but if you have something to say, this is where you say it.
Built for Midlife. Not for Instagram.
Most of what’s online about midlife was written by someone who isn’t there yet, or is selling something. This isn’t that. Each month, a real expert sits down with us – to answer the questions you can’t get answered elsewhere, to call out what’s not working, and to take the kind of conversation that usually happens in private and put it on the table.
If you “know what to do” but feel stuck. If the old rules around weight and energy stopped working. If getting answers at the doctor’s office has been impossible. You’re the audience.
